Now I know that I just mentioned another Hed Kandi album, but this one is far too good to be missed! Album: Hed Kandi: Twisted Disco 2009


Hed Kandi is an infamous English house music label, that has throughout the years provided house listeners to some of the finest house music ever to have been made. A tradition that the English label still holds on to this very day. Their albums consist of different "themes" with different styles of house music, and this mentioned one is their Twisted Disco (Dirty House) series. This year's album provides tracks such as:

SOUNDSCAPE 2009


So you're probably thinking WTF is SOUNDSCAPE 09? Well let me tell you! It is a multi artist concert that's being held in the Forum building in Copenhagen. So what's so special about it? Well let me put it this way: Roger Sanchez, Eric Prydz and Axwell are playing! Now I believe there's no need for extra explanation! But if those names aren't enough for you, well, Booka Shade, Lulu Rouge, KATO, Morten Breum and Rune RK will be playing as well. So if you live in Denmark or if you happen to be a confused tourist wandering the streets of Copenhagen on the 5th of June, well make sure you drop by, thrust me, it's an event not to be missed! The Average-Joe ticket price is 395 DKR (53 EURO) and the jet-set VIP price is 895 DKR (120 EURO) - which of course includes free booze and service all night long. For a concert with such great names, you have to agree that the price (or at least the Average-Joe one), is more than reasonable, or even cheap! For more info, check out the concert's website.

P.S. For a price of 995 DKR (133 EURO), you can get a ticket that gives you access to both Soundscape and a DJ Tiesto concert, that is held on the next day (6th June)!

Artist Focus: Axwell


Axwell ladies and gentleman! Personally one of my favorite DJs! 31 years old, Axel Hedfors, a Swedish DJ with a yet growing state of fame! Since his first record, Funkboy, from 1999, the Swede has experienced an amazing growth of fame and success in his DJ career. With almost legendary hits such as "I Found You" and "Feel the Vibe" and tons and tons of remixes, the 31 year old Swede is not to be stopped! Together with his Swedish colleagues Eric Prydz, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angelo, the four of them have formed an unofficial house group by the name of "The Swedish House Mafia", and as the name states, together they stand for the finest of Swedish house music. But is Axwell really as good as legendary DJs such as the just-mentioned David Guetta and Holland's DJ Tiesto? Well I'll let you be the judge of that:

Artist Focus: David Guetta


I was at a David Guetta concert here in lovely Copenhagen for about three days ago, and having had such a great time, making my first artist focus on David Guetta is inevitable. 
You probably know him well. Very well! The amazing Frenchman is one of modern days greatest DJs, a man with great passion and love towards the electronic beats, that seam to hypnotize and seduce us in so many ways. The amazing Frenchman began mixing vinyls since he was as little as 13, and since then, things seem to only have gotten better and better for him, and for us as well! His first real breakthrough was in 2005, with his number one dancechart hit, "The World is Mine". Since then, 
almost all his singles have topped charts worldwide, and with his newly released "When Love Takes Over" (read: David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland - When Love Takes Over) featuring the ever so lovely
Kelly Rowland, there's no sign of David stopping his great success! Anyway, enough about the man, here's a list of some of his greatest masterpieces, you have no doubt heard them before, but it never hurts to hear such beautiful works again and again, does it? Enjoy!
